You don’t have to be “advanced” to take it – it’s designed to advance your diving, so you can start right after earning your Open Water Diver certification. The course helps build confidence and expand your scuba skills through different Adventure Dives. You try out different specialties while gaining experience under the supervision of your Instructor

That’s what the Advanced Open Water Diver course is all about. You don’t have to be “advanced” to take it – it’s designed to advance your diving, so you can start right after earning your Open Water Diver certification. The course helps build confidence and expand your scuba skills through different Adventure Dives. You try out different specialties while gaining experience under the supervision of your Instructor. You log dives and develop capabilities as you find new ways to have fun scuba diving. You will do 5 dives over 2 Days. We normally do the Advanced Open Water Diver course. Normally we do 3 Adventure Dives, Peak Buoyancy, Navigation and Search & Recovery dives (night) on Saturday from shore at. On Sunday you'll do 2 more shore dives, Deep Diver and Other. Adventures dives also available are Wreck, Drysuit, Naturelist, Night, Altitude (Lake Tahoe in Summer), Fish ID and more.

Get credit! Each Adventure Dive may credit toward the first dive of the corresponding Specialty Diver Course. If you’ve already taken a specialty diver course, ask your instructor if you’ve earned credit for an Adventure Dive.

Open Water Divers who are at least 12 years old are ready to step up and enroll in an Advanced Open Water Diver course. Young divers may only participate in certain Adventures Dives – check with your Instructor.

If you’re already an Adventure Diver, you only need to complete two more Adventure Dives to earn the Advanced Open Water Diver certification.

 

            
Equipment

  • We require each student to be equipped with the following items: Mask, Snorkel, Fins, Booties, Gloves, Compass, Slate, Knife, & Light, Signal Tube (SMB), Whistle. We do not rent these items.

If you don't own your; Mask, Snorkel, Gloves, Booties, & Fins you should have these items fit to you. Come into our store and receive your 10% discount on gear. Our prices our equal to online shopping and usually less when we apply your 10% discount.

Required Homework

Students must view and complete e-laerning chapters. Please complete, Deep, Navigation, Search and Recovery, Boat, Peak Performance Buoyancy, Night Diver, Natralust, Under Water Fish I.D., and any additional chapeters that cover dives you planned on doing with your instructor

 

  • Please review the medical form before signing up. Rescheduling due to needing a physician's release is subject to our cancellation and refund policy.

Cancellation Policy:
We ask that you are committed to your dates before you sign up for class. change the date up to 3 weeks prior to your class date without processing fee. Any cancelations or date changes after the 3-week cut off will incur a $50 fee per student.. Starting 1 week prior to your class date there are no refunds for cancelations and you will need to pay and additional instructor free of $100 for rescheduling. Failure to show up or call will forfeit your tuition. If you do not complete all your skills in the pool, or Open Water Dives. Private Dives can be scheduled at an additional cost. Tuition is non-refundable once your class begins, completed or not. The classes are performance based. Signing up for a class doesn’t guarantee certification. Course performance requirements must be met.
